Thought it might be useful to anyone going through after us for a description to be posted on what Braxton Hicks felt like for us. I've apparently been having them for a few weeks now but never really thought that was what they were - I always thought they were meant to be different, something that involved the whole uterus.
My BH is a tightening of the muscles in the lower abdomen (below the belly button), it starts from the middle and spreads out and also creates pressure on the cervix. Not painful at all, I just always took it as a sign I was doing too much as they usually start after I've been standing or walking for a while. I started questioning if they were BH a little more in the last couple of days as I've been on bed rest and still feeling them.
