AHHH! so last night i opened up "nikkis barber shop" in my house for andrew and xavier. i finally bought clippers cause i was tired of spending $30 a month of hair. Well....Andrews is easy, its just a buzz....and shape, its simple. Xaviers I wanted it longer on top then on the sides (not a bowl cut...but like neat....) well it turned out like a bowl cut so i had to just buzz it. well it was on the lowest guard and i didnt realize how short that was and i buzzed it and since his hair is the color of his skin....HE LOOKS BALD! i feel soo bad. he keeps touching it and rubbing it cause its real soft....omg i hate buzz cuts on toddlers (no offense to anyone that gets it done) well.....he has one now too! lmao! look at this pic! eeeek.

I think it looks cute too. I cut Jadon's hair too and sometimes it doesn't look to good, but it does grow back pretty fast.

i ditto, it doesnt look bad!! but i felt the SAME way when i buzzed off hunter's mohawk.. i buzzed it just bc it was time to get rid of all the baby hair..
for a suggestion though, when ur doing this - (atleast i ASSUME this is the hair cut ur wanting, where the top is longest and the bottom fades up into it) use the shortest length first that u want.. and only do about an inch.. and then from there on up to use the next gaurd size.. go up an inch.. and so on and so forth.. this works when u want short sides... now if u wanted it longer say like........ Cohens, then that will involve using sicssors to to blend it better...
but this works really good and then u'll get the hang of it really quickly!!! also, check out youtube.. they have some good videos on how to trim toddler boys' hair!
but again, i dont think he looks bad with a buzz cut at all!!! but i too hate buzz cuts on toddlers hahah well depending on the face anyhow..
hunter is like xavier, his hair is SO blonde when his hair is first buzzed... he looks like he has no hair at all, esp in the sun!

He's super cute as a cueball!
I clip Jesse's hair and I trim Audrey's mullet when it grows back.

Awww.....he's still a cutie pie!! And yeah, it'll grow back. I about had a FIT once when I took D to get his hair cut. I told him just clean it up around the neck and ears and D walked out of there with a freaking high and tight marine cut!! But looking back, dang he looked cute! LOL

I agree with the others. He's a cutiepie no matter what. Don't let your mistake scare you. Practice makes perfect and you'll save lots of money in the long run. Jason and I usually cut J.J.'s hair, but since he's gone, I can't do it by myself. I took him to get his hair cut a couple of weeks ago. He sat perfectly and was great. She gave him a bowl cut. She combed the front down and cut straight across! Grrrr. I keep trying to push the front to the side, but it's still short and doesn't want to stay. Next time I'm going to have to specify "no bowl cut".

OMG natasha, I never understood how to do that. Your directions actually make sense to me, and I am totally clueless! I'm gonna have to try that next time Trevor needs his haircut!

youll do fine!! with blonde hair i personally think is a lot easier to trim than darker hair.. being its a lot more noticable
but DHs hair.. he has that asian hair where is just sticks straight out... God help me if our child has his hair!!!!! hahah!! i cut DHs now but he likes it really really short on the sides and back.. and i spend like 40 mins with his bc u can really tell if its not blended correctly.. but with hair that lies flat.. its SO much easier!!
u'll get the hang of it!!
but even still, his buzz isnt bad!! and its really nice in the summer time too!
