Do you talk politics much with those you know in real life? Do they tend to agree or disagree with you?

I do a little. A lot with dh, but we agree on almost everything so that is kind of boring, lol. I do some with a guy a sit next to at work. Him and I also agree. I do very little but some with another guy I work with, but we disagree on almost everything. We are what I would call friends regardless (even though he is young and niave, lol). Have you found that true for you?

I have a handful of friends who don't agree with me politically, but they're also educated and can hold a decent debate. I get really irritated with the ones (whether they agree or not) who are trying to talk about something they really aren't familiar with. The people who can't hold a conversation without it turning into a fight, I just simply say politics are off limits as far as conversation goes, lol.

With DH I do. We see eye to eye on everything!

Now with IRL friends. NO. I don't bring up politics, nor do I care to discuss. And here is why. I have a friend who is an uneducated voter. I guess what irked me the most was when I asked her WHY she was voting for Obama...she said because she just liked him and that there was something about him. I just blasted her I guess and really got all mad....and I shouldn't because it's her right to vote uneducated or not. It dinged our friendship in my mind...and I really can't look at her the same way.
