Obama did a great deal of good during his time in the Illinois Senate. This is not Obama's doing, and to suggest such is just another smear attempt. Maybe we should look up the many people impacted by McCain's Keating friendship - and see how they felt about losing their life savings? A friendship that Cindy McCain maintained even after the fact.

OhNO! It's really difficult to manage properties in poorer neighborhoods! They may be subject to vandalism! Stop The Presses!

looks fine to me Christy.
I don't see what the big deal is honestly. I mean...you know...those people who are suppose to help and manage maintain neighborhoods as their JOB....not let them go. Yeah, it's hard to manage large neighborhoods.

I got this in my email. It is interesting needless to say.

This is very interesting reading... especially for someone thinking Obama
might be the one to take charge of our country. Pass it on if you agree...
CHICAGO BODY COUNT:
Body count. In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago, 221 killed in Iraq.
Sens. Barack Obama & #### Durbin,
Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.,
Gov. Rod Blogojevich,
House Leader Mike Madigan,
Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike), Mayor Richard M. Daley (son of former Mayor Richard J. Daley).....the leadership in Illinois.....all Democrats.
Chicago is a combat zone. Of course they're all blaming each other.
Can't blame Republicans, there aren't any!
State pension fund $ 44 Billion in debt, worst in country. Cook County (Chicago) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. (Look'em up if you want). Chicago school system one of the worst in country. This is the political culture that Obama comes from in Illinois.
He's gonna 'fix' Washington politics?[/b]

how can you blame a small area in a state on the senator?? i mean i know he's responsible for the state but Chicago was in trouble WAY before Obama got there.

Cool, let's talk about Wasilla being the Meth Capitol of Alaska, or the staggering Teen Pregnancy rates, sexual assault and molestation.
There are major issues in all major cities - I don't understand how this is a surprise to anyone. I'm sure McCain's hatchet will fix the problems, right?

I would have to agree. One person didn't cause it, therefore one person can't fix it. Although it sounds like a lot of comments I have seen about President Bush and the economy now..
