It doesn't sit well with me at all. I find it kind of yucky that so many of my friends who are my age are gushing over these kids. Seriously obsessing, in some cases. Many of us could have given birth to him, ew.

To be dead honest, those women are most likely screaming for Rob. A very very small number of the Twimoms out there are screaming and obsessing over Tater. It's mainly Rob, 23 years old

It's also important to remember that actors brand themselves. In order to survive in that business, they need to essentially objectify themselves and make their image into something that can be consumed. All of those photoshoots of Lautner shirtless are intended to appeal to females and some males, and there's not an age limit on that. It's for anyone who is willing to open up their wallet. Not only do actors establish a brand for consumers, they pay good money for publicists, managers and agents to help them develop that brand.

I think it depends on the gap. Certainly it's not that big a deal for one 31 year old, mom or not, admiring Rob, or a 24 year old admiring Taylor, but a 36 year old woman, a mother of a 16 year old boy, putting a pic of a shirtless Taylor as her BB screensaver and commenting on FB about it "I know it's wrong but he's just so yummy", that is a little icky to me.
