I've been thinking of this subject for a long time.. to myself. Where I am from, not too many are hooked into American news. I found this case particularly disturbing.

Do you believe Casey was guilty OR not guilty?

lol musta been middle of nowhere, cause my family in NS were GLUED to the screen.

Guilty. Whether or not she actually did the murdering, she lied to the police long enough to keep them from discovering the body that may have pinned the crime on her. that is enough for me to think of her as a baby killer.

I don't think that she killed her daughter intentionally, but I do believe she intentionally concealed the fact that her daughter was dead.

I think she did *something* to that poor child... maybe not intentionally kill her, but I absolutely believe she did conceal very prominent details in her death, accident, her life, what happened after... everything... there were very big details left out and she did something to that poor child which ultimately led to her poor neglect and ultimate death.

You dont want to know what I think should happen to Casey.

We should keep dwelling upon it and talking about it.

F'real! I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the OP in this thread. Are we seriously still harping on this case?
Let's let it go and move on, shall we?

I think she is guilty as all get out and hopefully will face final justice one day. I am glad she has to hang her head in shame everywhere she goes. Hopefully her life on earth til she dies will be a mini-prison.

Well, my personal opinion is this. Since I am a Christian and I react in a way I think Jesus would be proud of I can safely say that I am quite comfortable judging her. I think she is guilty as all get out and hopefully will face final justice one day when God sends her to hell. I know she's going to hell but I'm not! It makes me quite happy that she has to hang her head in shame everywhere she goes and I sincerely hope her life on earth til she dies will be a mini-prison, filled with strife, pain and general discomfort.
If you'd also like to know anything else Jesus thinks about Casey Anthony feel free to ask me. She may be a child of God but she's f*d up once and to me, that means I get to decide her verdict here on Earth.

Oh, I know, I know. I'm a bad girl. Just wanted to ask a question of this mentality. Why is it that normally mild-mannered people who attend church weekly and often share that they will "pray for" you go completely evil and ballistic when it comes to this Anthony woman?
I'm having trouble understanding why people act like this when they know they have the safety cloak of the internet to hide behind. Can anyone please explain?

Whats with your open hostility to those who are religious? Is atheism new to you or something?

I'm a staunch atheist but feel no need to act like a douche canoe to those who choose to believe in a god. Peoples belief systems have no bearing on my life much in the same way my belief in there not being a god has no bearing in theirs.

Atheism itself is NOT new to me but the open animosity I've chosen to express to the opposition pretty much is. I used to think that people's belief systems had no bearing on my life until I realized that their belief systems in actuality hold a GREAT DEAL of bearing on my own life.
Do I take issue with each and every Christian in my life? No. Do I take issue with Christianity as a church group and choads like this guy who wants a national registry of anyone who doesn't agree with him? Absolutely. I choose to unleash my hostility on him because he launched it on me first. He clearly has nothing positive planned with what he's going to do with these names and he needs to be recognized as the bumbling idiot he is.
I know my message gets murky in my attempts to clarify but I cannot/will not go back into that closet where I spent so many years letting Christians run my life and make my decisions for me.

And that's how you ask a question? Makes you look like the crazy one here, not anyone else. I could have understood your logic if anyone in this thread even made a reference to God. But they didn't. Gina post might have been in that area but not even close. All she said in a nut shell was that she thinks she's guilty is happy she hangs her head in shame and will hopefully get her justice in her final day. I don't know about you, but I don't see anything vaguely religious about that one.

What guy with the registry? You know you unleashed this crap into a Casey Anthony debate that had ZERO to do with religion, right?

Why not address hypocritical behavior as it happens instead of randomly having outbursts? You're rant had about as much to do with this debate as if I had blabbered on about the evils of global warming

So I'm going to skip everything else and just answer the OP.

I think she's guilty. Her child may have died in an unfortunate drowning, but she did hide it and she should be punished for that. I am saddened by this case. I will admit I have not followed this case much, have only seen it in the news when it first happened and only have read one thing on it since then, the verdict. But the case still saddens me and I wish justice would be served. I think one reason why people still talk about it is that the case only ended a little while ago, it's not been long enough to "forget". Plus many people are angry by the verdict, rightfully so, and people want to see justice be served.
