CNN-Sprout Host Fired

Do you all ever watch PBS Sprout on cable? Apparently, the host of one of their shows was fired for making an spoof PSA's about losing your virginity.

Personally, I think the execs made a big deal out of nothing. How many preschoolers do you know that watch this sort of thing. Plus, I think they are being a little bit hypocritical. Did you know that Dr. Gina from Sesame Street had a nude scene in "The Sopranos: a few years back? I think kids are more likely to see that show than some random website called "the technical virgin."

I dont think its dangerous to the kids, ofcourse they probably would never be exposed to those videos at this age, but I do understand her loosing her credibility to the viewers (i.e parents). I personally could care less, but there are a lot of "anal" (pardon the pun) people out there who would get all up tight about it.

I'm glad you posted this because DD and I have been wondering what happened to her. I'm not going to go view the film(s) because I don't care to watch stuff like that, but I figured she probably did something that the network found offensive and got the boot because one night she was on and the next night there was a disembodied voice announcing the shows instead.

OK, I will probably be in the minority here, but those made me laugh!

I don't know what child would ever see that, so I personally don't see the big deal behind it.

lol they made me laugh too, I showed DH and he laughed and said he'd still let our kids watch her on tv.
