Akon during some sort of contest totally started dry humping this 14 yr old on stage at a recent concert. Now the father of the girl isnt even making much of a deal about it. He said she "just got caught up in the moment! When I say dry humping, I dont mean the bump and grind dance, I mean wow! Do you think the blame is on the parents, the kid, or Akon? I mean she is 14 flippin yrs old!

The actual video is at the bottom of the page.

edited to add, Ok, I know this is in Spain, and from the recent previous posts I know they are more WAY more liberal, but STILL!

That is disgusting. If I was that girl's parent I would try to press some sort of charges. I dont even know what to say about that other than it is sooo wrong.

Okay, first i am disgusted that Akon would even DO that. But MORE disgusting to me is that the Dad of that girl doesn't seem too overly upset about it! That just seems even more wrong to me...

I saw this clip on the news! I was totally shocked. I know that some inappropriate things happen during concerts but I couldn't believe that a 14 year old was up on stage doing that with Akon. I'm also really shocked that her father wasn't fuming! Even at 18 my Dad would DIE if I was doing something like that. *sigh* I know this was in Spain but aren't there some sort of legal issues involved? I can't believe they don't have laws against this type of stuff.

Where is my jaw dropping emoticon when I need it? Seriously, my jaw just hit the floor.

Up until this moment... I actually liked a few of Akon's songs... they're actually on a burnt CD in my CD player in my car right now.

Wow, if he knew she was 14... that is definitely NOT acceptable in my eyes. Not trying to defend him, I'm really not.... but what if he thought she was at least the age of 18?

Did anyone read the whole article, or just watch the video?

I found this paragraph from the article quite... umm... interesting (for lack of better words at the moment).

Deena had won round one of a dance competition which carried prizes, including a "free trip" to Africa, announced Akon from the stage. Footage of the “dance” showed Akon simulating sex with Deena and tossing her around the stage into different sexual positions. At the end of the “competition,” contestants learned that the prize of a free trip to Africa turned out to be a con. Akon joked that he was Africa.

To me, it doesn't matter if he knew her age or not. I find it repulsive that he has such little respect for women in general that he views it as acceptable to toss them from one end of the stage to the other in a disgusting dance. To me, it borders on sexual assault. I just can't even believe how disgusted I am. There have been a couple of Akon songs I have liked, but I will never listen to him again. He should be charged with a crime.

You know, I honestly do agree... I am also disgusted.
I guess I was just trying to figure out why on Earth he would do such a thing and think it was ok?! I know, and agree, that it doesn't matter how old she was.... just kinda hoping that he would have never thought it was ok to do such things with a child.

First of all,if that Spain..what on earth is a 14 year old doing in a night club??? We are supposed to have new laws here now where no one under 16 can get into those places (you need ID)..so if she is infact 14,the night club in question could get into ALOT for trouble for this.
Also, what is a 14 year old doing all dressed up like a 20 year old? (super high heels, backless top etc)..call me old fashioned, but my daughter wouldent be out looking like that at that age...maybe Akon didnt think she was so young being in a night club and all dressed up like that..young girls do look alot older than they are these days.Even so,I still think that what he did was sexist and disgusting!! He was throwing her around the dance floor like she was a rag doll!! If I were that girls father,Id be FUMING!!!!! Id press charges! Id also want to know what my daughter was doing there and Id have that place closed down (minors arent allowed in these places).
I used to like Akon..but after this,I am disgusted. If this girl had wanted to get out of the situation, she wouldent ad stood a chance because he is acting like a gorilla in heat and just dragging her all over the stage...
WOW! I showed DH and he said that if that girl was our daughter, she would have been grounded for even being there, and Akon would have got a punch in the teeth!!!!

My SO said he would have stabbed him in the back

She shouldn't have been there in the first place but she is a child. Her parents are to blame but AKON is at fault more.

My daughter would be grounded for the foreseeable future.

That is despicable and disgusting. I agree with Stacey, the age of the girl makes it worse, but to do that to ANY woman is obviously showing his lack of respect. And I've been known to do some freak-dancing in my past but that is just beyond reasonable dancing - that was hard-core simulated sex I didn't like Akon before and I certainly won't ever give him any of my money now by buying his CDs. Oh, and FYI the description of the video on that page said that this took place in Trinidad, not Spain.

My thoughts exactly... Even if she was of age, it was still wrong on so many levels. I got the "sexual assualt" impression as well, because the way he was throwing her around and everything, there was really no chance for her to ask him to stop, move away, whatever... Just thinking about being in that position makes ME want to cry. I mean, i've seen grinding and stuff on stage, and that is one thing... but this is SO extreme!

And that whole "trip to Africa" con REALLY makes me wonder as well... This does NOT seem like a nice guy here.

sick! i didnt have my speakers turned on -since they arent plugged in but i found more videos of that and supposebly the girl is saying "f me" during this..... what the heck is a 14 year old doing in a18 and over club and wearing an outfit like that and doing that.... and i would have grounded her for a life time if i was her mother... omg... shame on the parents for not keeping track of ur child... and shame on her... she is a preacher's daughter... i think the father should have acted differently as well... why take the side of a person who simulated sex with ur daughter on stage and on camera... there has to be so kind of criminal punishment addressed

OMG if that were my kid I think I would have been on stage hurting him in a way that no sexual position would ever be comfortable for him again!!!

I blame the parents for allowing a child that age to be in the club and dressed like that in the first place. I can't believe her father isn't very upset. I think if someone did that to me my father would be in jail for the way he'd react to it.

I agree with Stacey though. Even if the girl wasn't 14 what he did was still inappropriate and I consider it sexual assault.
