I know there are more in depth ones on the internet, but I was looking for an easy one for you guys to do. So what is your ecological footprint? Do you think this is accurate in the least?

My number was 24....not sure what this means, but I don't think it was good considering at the end it said that if everyone lived like me we would need 5.3 planets!

We would need 3.2 planets! The food is what killed me. We eat a lot of meat and most of our food isn't locally grown.

Edit: My score was a 14, btw.

My footprint was 15. It said if everyone lived like me we would need 3.3 planets. I don't think it is totally accurate. The questions/answers are pretty broad.

That was really cool! I got a 14 and if everyone lived like me, we would need 3.2 planets.

If you want a specific one google ecological footprint. There are some tests out there that are SOOOOOO specific! They will take like forever to fill out and you'd have to research the answers. lol Sure this one is kind of generalistic, but I was just curious if we got some really "green" types here. lol

funny cause my mom is about as "I dont really care about conservation, its all hype" type person, but if I do hers her footprint is like 5 cause she doesnt have a car, never drives anywhere, lives in a small apt, eats good cause of her health problems, etc.

My personal footprint was an 8. (DH's would be higher because he flies frequently for work.) Food was the highest at 3.5, but we are working on growing/raising more of our own.

CATEGORY ACRES
FOOD 5.9
MOBILITY 0.2
SHELTER 4
GOODS/SERVICES 3
TOTAL FOOTPRINT 13

IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON.

WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON.

IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 2.9 PLANETS.

I don't know how much I buy this. It didn't ask a lot of questions which I feel are relevant.

I got an 8 on that one. But base housing sucks, so a lot of it I couldn't help.

I got an 11. I really need to cut down on driving so much or invest in a hybrid car (they make them so ugly though, you'd think that they'd make them more attractive being good for the environment and all....)
[/b]

Don't they pretty much look just like every other car?

I scored a 15, but I didn't take the one Cavenaugh posted yet.

That was awesome ... thanks for sharing that. I was a 22. I think most of mine was eating meat and traveling to the hospital and back.
