That is absolutely ridiculous! It is hard to get good customer service from a lot of companies. Once they have your money in their hand they cease to give a crap.

I say it's time to bring out mega b!tch! Sometimes that is honestly what you have to do. Threaten to call a lawyer saying that you want to make sure that you are protected from any damage. Tell them that you are also going to contact your homeowners insurance to ask them what to do.

Good luck!

This is totally reminding me of Ron White and his schtick about the tire that fell off, fell off, fell the "f" off. His problem was with <strike>Sears</strike> Nears also. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to make light of your misery.

Sounds like excellent advice to me.

I would have guessed it was "Nears" even if you hadn't mentioned their name. Their customer service is terrible.

GET OUT OF MY HEAD!! That is exactly what I was thinking!!

Nears really does have horrible customer service. I would call and read them the riot act, threaten with a lawyer, tell them you are going to get an estimate of damages done to your yard. Hell, tell them to come and take the blasted thing away, you want to return it, go somewhere else and buy one. (is it too late for that?)
