Awwwwwwwww....I got a bit  teary-eyed. Thanks sweetie! I feel like I shouldn't take it because of my behavior on the ear piercing thread. I think you would be absolutely wonderful too. I think the person who takes it should be on here enough that they know the people who are coming and going since the debate boards gets a lot of lurkers and occasional posters and are generally respectful of others (not too condescending or rude when they post).

Aspen. She starts the most new threads, and is always kind to people and gives them the benefit of the doubt.

Kyle (kking) or AnnD. They are always respectful of other's opinions. I also like the fact that their answers are not heated and very clinical (that's a good thing IMO). When they post, it shows that they've done their research and homework and I feel that I should pay them for a session.

Thanks guys *blushes*. I considered it, but I have uh...performance anxiety...LOL! I am not good at being someone "in charge" and instead of focusing on debating and having a fun time with y'all I'd focus more on keeping things kosher between everyone. It just wouldn't be fun for me.
And I disagree about being kind to everyone...sometimes I can be a royal B! I don't mean too, and I'm really working on it I swear!!!! But I have my moments as I'm only human.
Yea I start a lot of topics, I like to "talk" a lot. LOL!!! *goes to start a new thread*

Laura is a great idea too, now that Aspen turned us down! At least we know she wouldn't back down from her duties, and she would certainly balance Michelle!

ETA: I do agree though that whoever becomes co-host should debate the other end of debates from Michelle. I think it would help prevent accusations that the hosts are being unfair or whatnot--since they will see both ends of the spectrum. I think I can get a little too hotheaded to be a cohost though!

I have actually applied twice a day since they said we were going to get hosts. I hope I don't seem to desperate.  (I am totally kidding, I have not applied) But I do think we do need a conservative host. I really think Cori would be good. I dunno though, whoever applies LOL

The hosts' purpose is to welcome new members and start debates. They aren't really there to mediate or be "in charge." Someone friendly who has enough time to welcome people and start topics is ideal regardless of their beliefs or debating ability, IMO.
I agree Cori would be a great host, or really anyone who spends enough time here and isn't rude or sarcastic too often, like a few I can recall (including myself  ). Cece is another good candidate!
