Hi Shalyn,

I never used the baking soda douche instead I drank the baking soda water.
I was never into the bsd b'cse of infection and all that, so i was lkng for something like this. Even though it tastes blah...they say to mix 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to 1/2 cup of water, mix until completely dissolved and drink it. do that from af to ov every 2 hours and 1 hour before bding. doing this raises your ph level. I have been doing that for the past couple of days. eventhough my ov date is today.

(when i was testing it) I never had that problem. You can try adding it to a bath for awhile instead of full on douching.

I tried the douch but I was nervous and didn't use a lot of baking soda. I never had a problem. Maybe you could have a yeast infection.....I know funny odor is one of the symptoms.

Hmmm I don't know then. I've had a yeast infection before and it itched so bad but I have no itching. Who knows!

My mother used baking soda to conceive me and I've used it twice, successfully. This most recent one was astounding. I was leaving town and suspected I was going to be gone on my O date. I was testing with my CBEFM each day and got High readings but no peak. The night before I left town, I suspected my Peak was coming the next day, so just before BDing I douched with baking soda. I tested the day of departure and still got a High reading. Scrapping this month of TTC in my head, I left on my trip without DH.
I just got a BFP today! If I didn't O for another 48 hours at least, that stuff kept his little guys alive a heck of a lot longer than I ever imagined they'd survive!

Just thought I'd share.

Thanks,
Jen

Hey jen Welcome & congrats on your pregnancy. Just wondering if the baking soda helped you to sway for boys?

Take care

amberrcp - baking soda douche or using a baking soda finger will help elevating your cervical mucus pH if yours is on the low side. Boy sperm thrive better in a higher pH. It will sway boy.

I have three girls now and this is the last time we are trying. Although I would be happy with whatever god intended us to have we really would like a boy, how do I use the baking soda is it best to Douche or just put the baking soda right in there and rinse out?

Thank You
