does having a cold effect cm?

ive had a cold for a while during my 1st discovering ewcm..but it seems to have lasted 7-8 days and just now its becoming tacky but still increase in cm altogether. what is going on? im supposed to af on the 10th. (i could be late tho as i sometimes am and this would be the 2nd cycle after breast feeding). i havent taken anyc ough medicine..nothing. no green tea, nothing unusual from my regular diet.
why the increase in cm and the long days of EWcm???

Im not sure, illness especially a temperature usually sways more towards a girl!!! If your cm is becomming tacky it means you have ovulated and you are getting ready to have AF. Could you be pregnant? i get lots of EWCM when im pregnant.

i am definitely not pregnant as we have been trying to stay away from each other due to this nasty cold that keep circulating in our house!! i wont be bding without bc until sept to try to conceive anyway. just preparing in advance! i just had a lOT of ewcm this cyle...so we ll see when my af actually arrives. i think ill have to start BBT'ing to get a more acurate idea of when i O, since the cm isnt really telling me. any other at home ways of getting an accurate idea of when i ovulated? i know that most opks just give you a 24-72 hr window. i need something more accurate..any ideas?

I would definately start to chart your temps on fertility friend, its free and has some advice, also the ladies on the charting board here are lovely and really helpful at reading charts. It sounds abit hard but its easy once you get the hang of it!

Have you been taking cough medicine? This increases ewcm.
