The day of the most EWCM is the day your are going to ovulate, before the rise in temp. Most women ovulate the same time of day they get AF. So if you know you got AF in the evening, then you know you will ovulate evening. The problem is you can only pinpoint O the day after b/c you get temp rise and EWCM dries up. This is too late. Thats why you have to get to know your cycle really well and compare past cycles so you know what day you usually O. For a boy you have to get it as close as possible but before O to give the sperm the chance to be waiting for the egg.
