I haven't really been on any other boards since getting pregnant, so I figured I'd mention this here. I've had flulike symptoms for 9 days (sore throat, low-grade 99-101 degree fever, cough and light nasal congestion). That's a pretty long time, so my doctor is testing me for CMV, mono, and a couple other things. I do have a young child in preschool (2-1/2 years old), so CMV seems like a possibility. Everything I read about it is so scary. I had blood drawn yesterday, so I may have some results by the end of the day tomorrow or Friday.
Got a call on Wednesday night (day before Thanksgiving!) that the results were all negative. They think I have just a plain old cold virus that is taking forever to go away. I feel so lucky that it's not anything worse. Day 13 of a sore throat, but I'll take it as long as the baby is not affected!
