I haven't really been on any other boards since getting pregnant, so I figured I'd mention this here. I've had flulike symptoms for 9 days (sore throat, low-grade 99-101 degree fever, cough and light nasal congestion). That's a pretty long time, so my doctor is testing me for CMV, mono, and a couple other things. I do have a young child in preschool (2-1/2 years old), so CMV seems like a possibility. Everything I read about it is so scary. I had blood drawn yesterday, so I may have some results by the end of the day tomorrow or Friday.

Got a call on Wednesday night (day before Thanksgiving!) that the results were all negative. They think I have just a plain old cold virus that is taking forever to go away. I feel so lucky that it's not anything worse. Day 13 of a sore throat, but I'll take it as long as the baby is not affected!
THE angry uterus likes this.

Glad to hear, hope you start feeling better soon! Try eating lots of popsicles to help with the throat. It will help reduce swelling.

Will do re: the popsicles. This is day 16 now... never had anything like this before!

Hope this passes quickly! Maybe extra vitamin C, folic acid, and zinc will help. Hugs!
