Aidan had this rash for a week now. Went to the doctor 2 days ago, and he didn't know what it was. So he prescribed hydrocortisone cream, but 2 days on the cream did not make a difference. His face is covered in tiny red bumps (cheeks, nose, and chin and around the mouth). Most are red tiny bumps, but the others around his nose and bridge area is skin colored.
I had suspected it to be a food allergy, since I was in the middle of introducing him to new veggies once every 4 days. I noticed the bumps towards the end of the squash and 2nd day of the sweet potatoe. So it could be an allergic reaction to either the squash or the sweet potatoe I am guessing. But his doctor is not sure it could be an allergy thing, since it is only his FACE that has the bumps.
I am hoping maybe some of you have had experience with this type of rash on your baby and could tell me what it is. It's been a week, and it hasn't gotten better. Infact, I'm always finding new bumps every morning. It kinda looks like BABY ACNE, but some I am not sure baby acne can happen at 9months of age? Actually he never had the baby acne stage since he came out of me, so my sister said MAYBE he's having a very delayed baby acne stage.
I don't know. I am worried and fustrated because I don't know what is causing his rash.
The pictures don't show it as clear, but it actually looks much worse. And the pictures don't show ALL the tiny bumps.
