So my daughter was born with this strange mark on her face. She had an ultrasound today to see if it's the start of hemangioma but i'm worried it could be "port wine stain"? I really hope that it is neither of them... It hasn't grown in 10 days but the redness seems to change from day to day. Does anyone here have experience with either of these? I sure hope it doesn't get worse

My daughter has a hemangioma. It's located on the top right of her head, close to her temple.

The experience I have had with it was. It was red when she was born. At about a week old it started getting more red.

How old is your daughter? I will get Sadie's pics out and upload some so you can see her progress, if you want to.

My advice to you is that if it is a hemangioma, please look into getting her some care as soon as you can. Because, there are alot of things that they can do to help it not grow. They can give steroid shots, and laser surgery. I waited too long and Sadie will have to hers surgically removed.

My daugher Izabelle( our little premie) is 5 months and when she was about a month old I began to notice a red mark behind her ear we took her to the doctor and it was a hemangioma. If you would like to talk some more feel free to pm, maybe we can trade info we find out. Good luck!
