Hi, both my daughters (aged 10yrs & 6yrs) have eczema, although it is mostly under control visits to the local swimming pool cause their skin to breakout. We've just started swimming lessons & the chlorine in the water is causing great discomfort. Does any one have any ideas to combat my daughter's distress or maybe the name of a good barrier cream to use whilst swimming?

That is so weird, pool water has the opposite affect on my little ones. Their eczema usually fades a bit for some reason during the summer when they spend a lot of time in the pool. Though logic would say the cholrine would dry it out making it worse.

I would try a thick diaper rash cream over the worst patches. It will block out a lot of the moisture since thats its job anyway.
