I was just wondering if eczema can be on the diaper area as well? Emersyn has a pretty constant rash, the doctor has checked it out and said it is 'just a rash', but I find that most lotions irritate it, particularly if they're scented - so it's at the point now that all we can use is coconut oil, which DOES seem to work well...

I was wondering what other natural remedies there are for eczema, that could be used on the diaper area. I gave her an oatmeal bath tonight, and was wondering if making a bit of an oatmeal solution to wipe on at each dipaer change, would be something I could try?

From what I've read eczema usually steers clear of the diaper area, but when you think about it, if the child has sensitive skin, it seems they would have sensitive skin everywhere you know?

My son has never had a diaper rash. He is 2, and we use cloth diapers and cloth wipes. But he uses sposies if he goes to my mom's and still, never had a rash. The rest of his body is covered.

We use coconut oil and I love it. So far it hasn't help the eczema much--I've tried tons of things hoping something would be our miracle cure and nope, we haven't found it yet. But I do like the coconut oil anyway. I think it keeps his skin from drying out so much that it cracks and bleeds.

Yes, eczema can occur in that area.


As for a natural remedy, Calendula has always worked for my son when he had issues due to diapers.
