My name is Angie and my youngest Dillie (1) has awful skin!!! he has awful eczema out breaks, they get so bad he scratches it til it bleeds!!! he gets it really bad on his legs, we have to keep his legs wrapped in gauze to keep him from scratching it!! it's awful!! We have used 2 different prescriptions and it won't go away!!! I am so frustrated!! he also has had a yeast infection for 2 weeks now too, which won't go away either!!! We have been using a prescription on that too, soaking in epsom salt, everything...nothing works!!!! He recently had an allergic reaction to strawberries about 3 weeks ago, do you think I should call the DR and ask to see an allergist? I just don't know what to do anymore!!! Do you think he has really bad skin or could it really be an allergy to something!??!?!
Any input would be great!!! </span>

Welcome Angie! I'm Michele! My girls both have Epidermolysis Bullosa Simplex, Weber-Cockayne. It's a skin disorder that makes them get blisters real easy on their hands and feet.

This is a great place for you! There are alot of Moms and babies here with eczema. From listening to the other girls here alot of eczema is from some sort of allergy. You should have him tested for allergies.

I just got off the phone with the DR's office and they said I should wait til his 15month check up and then talk about seeing an allergist!!! Kinda makes me mad, so now he has to be miserable until then!!?!?!

Really? I have never heard that before. Poor baby. I hope you find something that helps until then.
