I have posted here before that my one year old has awful skin....eczema and yeast infections. He has had a yeast infection for 7 weeks now and we have tried EVERYTRHING!!! So he went back again yesterday and they gave him yet another cream to try and a pill because now he has thrush as well!!!! My concern is, could there be something else going on? Maybe something he is eating? Some other health issue? The girls from my PR suggested I take him to a dermatologist. I am thinking maybe I should skip this round of meds and go right to a specialist??? What do you girls think? I am at a total loss here right now, he is miserable!!!! Anyone else ever dealth with this???
thanks ladies!!!

I wouldn't skip the meds, but I would definately take him to a dermatologist! Has he been on antibiotics? Sometimes my DD gets really sick after being on a course of them, b/c they kill off the good bacteria too, and sort of leaves her immune system floundering.

I would take him to the dermatologist, do start the meds though until you can get referance from the derm about the kind he would reccomend. You also want to take him to a allergy specialist, the allergy doctor can start the tests on allergies which play a vital role in eczema and flare ups. My son is allergic to everything from soy to oats and from trees to grass. I hope your little one gets to feeling better hun.
