I lurk here ocassionally and have posted a few times, but thought I should join. I'm Michelle, mommy to Lucas (almost 7 months) and Chloe (2 years). Lucas has had eczema almost since birth. He of course was born perfect, seemed to get baby acne which turned into cradle cap which then turned into eczema. He was also jaundiced the first couple of weeks after he was born. I wasn't able to get into a dermatologist until he was 5 months old, so up until then he just had awful skin and I had never really "seen" him with that beautiful skin that most babies have. He was yellow, then bumpy and crusty, then red and dry. Well since going to the dermatologist, we have seen dramatic results and my baby has still got some really bad patches, but I love feeling his smooth smooth skin! I don't know why, but it just makes me so happy to be able to feel his skin so smooth! He still has one patch that I think will probably be there for quite a while (cause he tends to rub it while he's putting himself to sleep), but even that has gotten so much better. Here's a pic of the one spot that's been causing him problems. The first is a pic a couple of days before our appointment with the dermatologist and the next 2 are about 3 weeks later. Anyhoo, sorry for the long intro.
