My 6 year old has excema related to asthma. Zytrec is keeping the asthma under control, but man...this child is one big scab! It's lookig better lately, but she showed me her head last night....HUGE sore Poor kid!

I think the 2 year old may have a form of it, but at this time, it's just on the back of her neck (it's a thing in our family...all the women have a birthmark/heat rash at the back of our necks). Hers looks really flaky...anyway

Sorry you had to join us! Eczema is no fun. I have managed to keep my daughters under control for the last week. She has had eczema since she was 2/3 months old. She hasn't been diagnosed with asthma...yet, but I won't be surprised if/when she is. That's good that zyrtec has her asthma under control. At the moment Kaleigh takes zyrtec, atarax and singulair before bedtime. The 1st two are for the itching that drives EVERYONE crazy. Singulair is for the allergies and undiagnosed asthma.

I know all about the scabby skin. Kaleigh's face now looks like it is peeling all the time. Something new every week. Wednesday we go back to the specialist so hopefully we will get some new answers.

I am sure you have noticed this board is slow. I tend to check on it a few times a week. Don't let that scare ya off. Someone will be around!

Welcome! I'm sorry about your little ones eczema. I hope the meds help clear it up. This really is a great forum. The moms here and such a great help and support system!
