I have eczema and Dh is allergic to dyes and perfumes so chances are our baby will have the same skin problems as well...
right now we use detergent call Wintree Laundry that is enviromentally friendly, dye free and perfume free and we dont have any problems when we use it but...Do you think it would be safe for baby as well? or should I actually buy the baby detergent...what is it Dreft? what detergents do YOU use for your little ones??? Thanks ladies!!
I would continue using Wintree since it is dye/perfume free. I never used Dreft, it has a scent so I was always afraid to use it. We use Cheer Free & Gentle with no problems.
If your baby does end up with eczema you don't want to use the regular baby lotions/soaps either. We use Eucerin lotion and Cetaphil soaps. Just a heads up!
Thank you for your response and the good wishes:-)
I do plan on using the gentle lotions and everything too..of course I could just be worried for nothing hehe my child could get lucky and be just fine. but I would rather be safe than sorry. I just started using cetaphil myself and really like it so far. Thanks again!
Yeah the detergent you are using now is perfect. I use the seventh generation free and clear and it's fine. If you want your laundry to smell pretty try using liquid fabric softner in your laundry but not the babies.
