What do you think is the hardest part about having a child with a skin disorder?

It takes alot of work to have to constantly medicate and lotion her skin. I do it at least twice a day.

She is 3.5 years old. As kids get older they start asking her about the eczema on her face. I just don't want her to have a hard time with kids who don't understand. I dread the day the teasing starts. Thankfully she doesn't break out on her face all the time. I am always telling her how beautiful she is too.

This is exactly how I feel about it. He tends to mostly get it on his face and people are always asking me about it. I lotion him at least twice a day as well and it's so hard. He hates it too, especially when I get near his face. He's constantly trying to push my hands away.

Isaac will usually break out on his face and parts of his body during the summer/fall because his pores can't breath and it normally happens when its hot. Right now he doesn't have any out breaks but when they usually happens its difficult because my family is always saying poor baby and its annoying when they say are you going to get medication, call the doctor yet?, why is he breaking out this? They all know that I have eczema and the doctor told me already he had a small case of baby acne and eczema. But I don't know how I'm going to explain it and I don't want children teasing him either. The best thing I can do is keep up with his cream and tell me he is a beautiful child rather he has eczema or not. The inside is a beautiful thing


Let him know people are going to talk badly about you no matter what; he will have to learn not to play attention to them and have friends to accept him for who he is. I had an outbreak all over the bottom of my arms not my face.
