For those who celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas/Hanukkah/other winter holidays...

What are you doing? Do you do the same thing every year or change it up depending on circumstances? Is there a lot of conflict over what you'll decide to do? How do your kids feel about the celebrations?

For Thanksgiving we are going to my aunts house for a big extended family meal. It's my father's side of the family that I had no contact with for almost 20 years (long story) so it's nice to be included and feel like I have family. Dh's mom and my mother are deceased so there isn't any real family for big celebrations like that.

For Christmas, I haven't gotten that far. Who knows what we will do.
