Never.

I wish!

I don't really have my own birthday. Never have. I'm a twin, and my son's bday is less than a week from mine, so I don't even get my own cake.

Any reason to celebrate I am all for, I love having a reason to smile and get excited about life whether it's holidays, birthdays, or other special events. I'm like kid on Christmas and just as excited on my own Birthday. I often do wish others would make a big deal about it, I like to feel special every now and then. Sometimes I think the only reason I put so much energy into other people's birthdays is because I'm secretly hoping they'll do the same for me... but never happens. My husband doesn't handle special events very well and my last Birthday (March 11th) tanked hard

Aww, Chrystal. I bet Tiffany and I could plan you a nice huge individual birthday event for you next b-day. I also love planning and celebrating birthdays. I don't care a ton about mine, but I'm having a milestone one this year and hope to do it up big in the new house, if we're in there by then! My b-day's also conveniently near Halloween so we are planning big parties for that anyway, so we can easily just throw in some cake. I don't care for the spotlight much, but do like get togethers and great food. I appreciate also when people give me a well thought-out gift that I actually like.

No. A little deal would be ok though.

Unfortunately my birthday is New Year's day. So it get's forgotten. Also my dsd's birthday is the 29th & we only see her 4-5 times per year so we make a big deal for hers.

Oh yes, this exactly! I always go all out for everyone else and usually my birthday gets completely forgotten. Same for anniversaries and other special days like mother's day. DD will go all out for me, but DH? All I can really expect are grocery store flowers....if he remembers at all.

My dh makes a big deal about my birthday and I HATE it!!! My birthday is Sunday and he is inviting people over for crabs and shrimp on Saturday night. I could do without the hoopla.
