Erin took the admission test yesterday. We have to officially apply too. I need two teachers recommendations and her official reports from school. I feel like all of this is for nothing - since with no scholarship she cannot go there. I hope this works out, even though it's a long shot.

Good luck!!

(Of course, if you're interested in piling up a lot of unnecessary debt, you could get a PLUS loan to cover "college" costs for one child, and use it toward a younger child's schooling. Did I just say that?)

Chrystal - I am going to pretend I didn't hear that.

I guess it just depends on how desperate we are. And - lets keep in mind that I still have three more to get through college.

She said it wasn't that bad. It took over 4 hours though. She said she thought her essay was good. The only part I don't like about it - a lot of the moms that were waiting seemed like uppity rich moms. That's so not me or my kids. If it's meant to be, then it will happen.

I had a friend who went to an elite private school for her high school years on a full merit+need scholarship. The moms of the kids were all VERY uppity, but most of the kids weren't bad at all. My friend and her mom laughed a lot about those moms, though.

Eh... ignore them. They're probably jealous of your normal life and are hiding the fact that their homes are in foreclosure.

LOL about the uppity rich moms, there are many in our town. Part of me is liking that we might send Hugo to a program in a Title I school just so we won't encounter any...

Anyway, my fingers are crossed that she gets the scholarship!!!!! I am sure she'll get in. Keep us updated!
