Beth and Matt are out for summer break! I've been looking forward to it forever, but have mixed feelings now that it has arrived. I can't believe the year is over and my babies are so much bigger and more grown up.

We decided a while back to homeschool both of them next year. We went back and forth about the TAG school B got into, but in the end decided against it. I told the kids, and they were fine with it. Today though, they both cried and said they wanted to stay at their school next year. Actual tears! Apparently they school did a tour of the upcoming grade....Matt got to visit first, and Beth got to visit second. And now they want to go. Not to mention the last two weeks have actually been fun....field day, parties, picnics, etc. Nothing like the rest of the year, mind you. It is really not a very good school. Now I just feel bad though... I don't want them to miss out, but I have to remind myself that they are little and can't see the big picture. In the end Matt and I have to decide what is best for them. And at this point, I think dh is really unwilling to let them return. Even more than me he is just done with that place.

Soooo...hopefully a nice long summer break will help them (and myself!) relax and get ready for the next adventure.

You know, the homeschool group on the base does so much fun stuff plus when you homeschool you get so much extra time to play in your day, I bet before long Matt and Beth won't even think of attending the brick and mortar school. Right now all the fun stuff is fresh in their minds, but you know that that's not normal school and even the fun stuff had headaches for you like not being able to bring the little girls to the "family" picnic. I have no doubt once they are going to the activities and what not with the other homeschooling base kids they'll be totally thrilled with homeschooling
