Do you do anything special on the first day of school each year?

Shari - when is *gasp* the first day of college? Anything extra special planned?

We never have school the first day of school for the local kids. This year we're going to Build-a-Bear.

Oooh, fun! We have never been there!

The only thing we do special is send them... and right now they ride with Grandma so we don't even walk them in the first day or anything. They are happy enough just getting to go and see their friends and classrooms.

Thanks for reminding me Chrystal!!!

just kidding - she moves in on the 23rd. They have orientation and things planned all weekend and classes start the 27th. : I am sure I will be okay leaving my daughter at school......(I'll just keep telling myself that)...

I buy them new outfits & take their pictures. I also walk them to school. Our school has the teachers waiting outside to meet their classrooms. So I'll go in a little late that day!
