hurricane Sandy is expected to be a direct hit to my little state on Monday. Everything is closing and I have to go get Kelsey at college tomorrow AM. Everything is evacuating! No generators, no batteries, and no bottled water at any store near here!!

Hopefully this won't be as bad as they think.

They expect lots of flooding here (we're in southern Maryland). I'm hoping it goes a little more north and definitely not south. If it tracks south and goes up the Chesapeake we know we're screwed since those are always the worst.

Hope everyone stays safe and that you don't lose power, etc. for very long! Check in when you're back up and running.

She's gone more north which is good for us, bad for NJ and NY. We're expecting 2/3 to a foot of rain so we'll have some bad flooding. Winds only in the 30s with gusts in the 50s. That's not bad at all for a hurricane. I'm just hoping the power stay on!

Bad for me too. Still in the direct line of impact.

Right now not too bad. High winds and lots of rain. And the storm is still 500 miles out to sea Not expected to be real bad until tonight. UGH.

There is a driving ban too. No one is to be on the road unless you are emergency personnel. Praying my power stays on.

BTW I live in Chicago & they are expecting 20 ft waves on Lake Michigan. That is just crazy!
