Hi everyone!

I guess I should introduce myself here. I am Marjorie, homeschooling mommy to Allison (3) and JR (10 months) and wife to James.

I forget this board is here/didn't think I belonged here until I have been testing Allison to see what I need to get for next years curriculum. She's tested into a full first grade curriculum at 3 (planning on using Horizons for Math and Learning Language Arts Through Literature as our base)!

I had planned on taking a couple of years to complete pre-k/k but she had other ideas... I also hadn't planned on starting school until the upcoming school year, when she would be 3.5, but she wanted to go to school like the "big kids" so we started this year. I started with the basics and it spiraled out of control from there So, I finally got an official kindergarten curriculum in November and we did that until recently when she finished it.

Welcome! It is wonderful that you are able to give your child what she needs! I really think homeschooling is a great way to go if you are able. You will love it here.

That is great! A lot of times I wish I could homeschool mine. I think they would both be able to achieve a lot more. Alas, I have to work full-time... (to support our expensive Hot Wheel habit, lol... see other thread)
