Hello Everyone!
I just thought I'd stop by and say hello and introduce myself.

My name is Maria and I (my husband and I) have a a 2 yr old son (Jack) who has a speech delay and may be mildly autistic (I assume this is called Asbergers?).

He's currently in OT and Speech therapy and we're looking at either getting him evaluated by his pedi (who specializes in Autism) or doing the ADOS testing...

Are there any sites or treatment options we should look up? If you can help, we'd appreciate it.

Hi Maria!

My daughter has a diagnosis on the autism spectrum- she was diagnosed at 23 months old...

As far as treatment, if your son IS diagnosed with an ASD, look into ABA therapy- my daughter has made SO MUCH progress with ABA- it has really been key in her development/learning!

We started our daughter on the GFCF diet at age 2 also- gluten free/casein free- basically no wheat or dairy- it had almost immediate effects- better eye contact/attention span, etc. I know it does not work for every child, but we decided to give it a shot and are so glad we did.

There is a lot to learn, take it one step at a time and feel free to PM me if you have any questions about any of the things I have mentioned (or anything else!)
