I don't know about you guys, but I've been reading a lot on how people have been using the iPad as an educational platform for their children (the one in this instance was an autistic child).

I wanted to get an idea about how you guys feel about this and in what instances do you think that the iPad could be really beneficial for special needs learning?

I played with my cousin's iPad and wasn't very impressed. I just didn't like the physical machine. However, my dyslexic son has a laptop and it is super useful. He has a horrible time with writing using a pencil and paper. He does MUCH better typing. He learns tons through videos so we use his computer for that. I'm all for something that makes it easier for them to learn and what not, whether it's an iPad or a laptop or whatever.
