Last week I got an e-mail from one of the inclusion teacher's at Cameron's middle school letting me know his math homework had been selected to use as an example to show the other kids how to properly set up equations. They're doing multi-digit multiplication which Cameron struggles with, but he had spent a long time the night before working on getting that homework just right and making sure all his numbers faced the correct way and everything. He totally deserved the kudos. I was just amazed that they took the time to email me to let me know because of course by the time he got home there's no way he would have mentioned it (or even really realized it was worth mentioning). That email is when I realized this school is going to be great for him. The teachers honestly seem to care (and it's just a regular public school!).
