How do your kids do with creative writing? (like stories or poetry or something like that)

With Lizzie, creative writing is very difficult. She and her brother have difficulty using their imaginations to make up a story. My oldest loved to make up characters and stories, I was surprised when the my other 2 couldn't do that. I bought a creative writing package as part of her homeschool curriculum, I hope it helps.

Veronica has the same problems. She has a very difficult time using her imagination to create a story. We try and work on it more, but she gets very frustrated. She doesn't work well when she's frustrated, so we usually have to step away and do something else. We try and come back to it, but that doesn't always happen. I need to try and emphasize her creative writing more this year.

My kids really don't do any writing assignments yet. I hope that once they get older I can give them creative writing assignments. I am not sure how they will do with it though.
