I have noticed that there seem to be quite a few views on the different topics, but no one, save a few people, are responding?

I don't know why. I wish more people would join in and share their experiences also.

I know. We definately have a some regulars, but I know there have got to be other moms and dads out there with similar problems (ie see the number of times a topic was viewed). Its really hard to get the board moving when no one besides our regulars are posting. GRRR.

I think maybe the education gets people thinking in more the direction of education and they may be curious, but not feel that they can talk about the issues with certainty.

All right, I will work on putting together a sticky that offers a better descripttion of this board. Maybe if they realize that its a place for parents who have LD and special ed kids to come together, share experiences, and just talk about the upsides and downsides, they may feel more comfortable posting here.

Some of us who have posted here arn't even sure if we have LD kids or not. I havn't been down here since patty droped out sorry. I did post on the homeschool section here and got no responce so I figured it was better to stay up on the regular homeschool board.

I am not too particulary worried about an actual LD diagnosis. My dd has never been diagnosed, but with all of her other issues, she has learning difficulties and learns differently than most other children. So don't feel like you can't post just because you don't know for sure if its an LD or not.

I have noticed that the subforums aren't moving that great. I know I haven't posted really in the homeschooling subforum because I don't know much about it. I was thinking of maybe asking for a cohost for this board, with the one requirement being homeschool experience, as I know I won't be able to really answer some of those questions.

Please feel free to come on in and respond to topics or post new ones. As I said, you don't need a specific LD diagnosis to participate.

I think its that way on most boards (way more views than posts) but some boards are more active than some. A lot of people lurk before they feel comfortable posting and some people lurk and decide not to post for whatever reason. I agree that if someone has a question, just post. It may be a few days before anyone can get to it as the board isn't a busy one. Also, if anyone has any information to share, please share it
