Do your kids have any role models (besides us as parents and family members)?

I was just reading up on this whole new twist to the Britney Spears saga about her custody standoff and intoxication and everything. It got me thinking about how these celebrities do become role models for our kids and don't seem to care about the message they are sending. And look at Britney's sister, pregnant at 16, a popular Nickalodean (sp) show and yes I understand she could have had an abortion, but still it scares me that these are some of the types of people our kids are going to be looking up to and modeling. Well, not if I can help it, but as parents there is only so much you can do. You can talk to your kids about drugs, sex, smoking, teen pregnancy, and it will make an impact, but seeing these celebrities flaunting all of this, it also has an effect. *SIGH* sometimes I wish I could just look them in the house and never let them out. Impossible I know, so we just have to talk openly and honestly and prepare them as bets we can and have faith that they will listen, take it to heart, and make good choices.

She really looks up to an older girl at church (who is a great kid). She likes all the shows, like Highschool Musical, but I think it's more the drama. (I hope)
