Hello to all My name is Jennifer. Mommy to David A.K.A Pito 3.5 yrs old. Jennifer posted at the preschool broad so I'm checking it out. I noticed something was up with pito. he knew a few words but that was it. i called up early intervention. and they took over. Pito was diagnosed as speech delayed. so he did EI for about 6 months then he aged out and they but him in school were he gets speech therapy. he is doing so great. he words are a lot clear. i'm so impressed with how much he has improved.
Welcome, glad to see you here, though the reasons why aren't always great. It is wonderful that Pito uis making so much progress with his speech. We are still working 5 times a week with a speech therapist for Alexis, she just has sooo much trouble with it. Oh well, them the breaks sometimes. We can only keep pushing her and working with her and hope that one day she gets it.
Hope you stick around and enjoy posting here.

thanks for the welcome. i know what you mean. Pito had a great speech teacher thru EI. she somwtimes came on saturdays. she always made up day we miseed etc. i thank her all the time for pushing him as much as she did. Pito gets speech 5 days a week at school and his speech teacher is in the class with him at all time which is great.
I've been dealing with spec. ed. and IEP's for years now, but never discovered this board until I learned about it on the ASD board.
