Just popping back in.

I'm Tammy and my special needs child is Abigail (Abby). She's my oldest and will be 15 this summer. She's dx'd with Asperger's Syndrome which is secondary to brain injury. She had a seizure disorder as a baby and as meds were not effective and the seizures were contained to one half of her brain, she had quite a lot of her right hemisphere removed. In the past, she was mainstreamed in school until late elem. when she was dropped to special ed. math. This year (8th grade), we've had her moved to special ed. in all subjects because even though she's smart enough to mainstream in some of her classes, she can't handle it emotionally.

Hey Tammy, glad to see you here. I'm very sorry to hear that Abby is in special ed for all her classes now, but hopefully she will be a happier kid (teen) there. How has she been doing this year?
