She did very well and loved it from the first day. I, however, did not do so well
She did have a tough time in her first year of K with her behavior....lots of phone calls and notes from the teacher. But she still loved going..go figure. She did better when I had her repeat the year at another school that offered half day K.

Thats great that she loved school for the get go. Alexis is the same way. For he, it was an easy transition. She was in daycare since she was a baby so she was used to being away from mom and dad and her daycare had some really great routines and learning oppurtunities. Plus, when she went center based at 2 1/2, she was getting so many services that it was easier for her to get her special ed services in the school setting. She did the special ed preschool and did beautifully, even when we went to 5 full days a week. Actually, she does so much better when she is in school, she just loves going. And now, in her new school and new class, she is doing even better, really blossoming and making a lot of gains.
