So Friday morning at 1030 am we lost power, and water. We lost our water cuz we are on a well. We also lost half a tree which barely missed the house and my car. Well we got our power back at 6 last night. The only reason we lost power is because it got extremely windy...
Well because the water was shut off, the valve on our toilet is now busted and is leaking ridiculously. I was cleaning the bathroom when I found water all over the floor. Tony came to look and sure enough the valve was leaking. I put 2 big bath towels behind the toilet at about 4. We left the house and came home at about 845 and the towels were so soaked, like 5 pounds of water in each towel!! This is a problem!!!
When I first read the topic title I thought it said "I hate living in THIS country". So needless to say, I was very confused as to why losing electricity and water and the toilet problem made you hate the USA lol. But I read the title again and it makes perfect sense now lol. Anyway, I'm sorry about the toilet leaking, I'm sure it sucks. Hopefully you can get someone out to fix it soon. I've lived in the country before, and I know exactly what you mean. I also live in Florida, and when Hurricane Charlie came around, l was very glad we moved out of the boondocks. My aunt still lived there and she didn't have power for 2 weeks! Well I hope it all works out!

Tony is gonna fix the toilet. He bought a new valve, but he got a compression valve. And I guess the valve on their is just sotered. So we have to get a new pipe from the valve to the toilet because it is going to be to short cuz Tony will have to cut the valve out... And it sucks cuz there is nothing around us!! We got some massive wind going on now and I pray to go the power does not go off!
I see that you live in IL, well, your mess passed our way!! I am in IN and live out in the country too!! It has been pretty ugly around here the last few days too! Our power stayed on here and only flickered numerous times. The cable did go out and just came back on this morning.
We lost power 3 times today. I was at work for the first 2. And then when I got home I was doing schoolwork and the power went out for an hour. Tony called comed and pitched a fit!! Hopefully no more power outages!
