This is getting so sickening and rotten. I went out to get dh's scripts refilled. I figured I'd get a box of allergy sinus pills for our son. I grab the same Drixoral ones I got last time. This pharmacy tech person waits on me. he knew me by name as I am a regular at that drug store. He says can I see some ID for the allergy pills. Show it to him. He punched it in the computer. Says did I recently get some allergy pills somewhere else. No. I was here a week and half -2 weeks ago getting a box. Oh. Well the computer says I got a box recently. Yeah and that was almost 2 weeks ago. I'm allowed 9 grain or grams of psudephadrine per month. I have not gotten that amount this month. He says well ok. Then says sign the computer pad. I said someone had told me that the stores are not really using federal computers to monitor the meds. So a person could go store to store in a day and get all the boxes they wanted. He says well not at Walgreens we have linked all our stores computers. So we know what a person bought at any of our stores and when. So if I go back to Walgreens on Thursday. Well that's the day our son gets his wisdom teeth pulled. I might be back getting him some pain or other meds the dentist will want him to have. If I try to buy another box of 10 day count allergy pills. They will probably grill me again I just got some. Like it's any of their business that I like to keep enough supply of allergy pills for our son or if anyone else in the house gets the sick. So it sounds like if I got my box today. They figure I shouldn't come back for 10 days.
I totally feel your frustration. They have even taken certain medications off the shelves around her because people are using the ingredients in the medications to make drugs!! Excuse me... What about those of use that are going to use them for what they are intended??? It won't be long before we will have to have a perscription for everything. Its terrible that everyone has to suffer just because of the bad apples out there. Don't they know that 1 bad apple in a bunch don't spoil the others?? I understand what you are saying completely!!
Do they not realise that taking these products off the shelf and making them more difficult to buy is not going to make any difference? If someone wants it bad enough they'll get it.[/b]
Yeah tell me about it. Its not hard for someone to send another person in to buy their pills for them. My husband and I both have allergies. I went to get some medicine last night because his were acting up. It was past the time when the pharmacy closes and they wouldn't sell them too me. I had to drive all the way across town to get them from the only 24 hour Walgreens in the area. I was so mad.
