I just ended a conversation with my mother. Now I love her to pieces but.....
Can she ever have a conversation with me that doesn't end in a lecture about something?!?!?!?
Either, I don't feed my kid right, or I spend too much money or today I buy too many toys.
I'm almost 40 years old for cripes sake. I support myself & my daughter.
Does she really think I don't get it? Yeah, I know I should save more money, yeah I know my house should be cleaner... yeah, yeah. Her lectures don't make it so And I'm so tired of her bringing up Dr. Phil. Good thing she lives 500 miles away.
Same here except it's my dad. The other day we went to walmart to the Shout Elmo and he was there and saw it in our cart and proceeded to tell us we didn't need that because Christmas is coming and they are going to clean out there basement and give us the toys. First of some of the toys in the basement are over 20years old! No thanks!
My mother is very annoying. She tells me how much money to spend when we go shopping. Even if it's things we have to have for the house. Food etc. She watches what I put in the shopping cart one time at the grocery store. Says your buying all that stuff. Yeah. We gotta eat. We're not birds like you and eat very little. Or my mothers worst annoying thing is. She is such a worry wart. When she lived up the block from me. She could not let me live my life the way I seen fit. She would get so angry when I'd go out alone to do things. Thinking I was cheating on dh or getting into trouble. Doing things she disapproved of. I tried telling her I'm am not a child anymore. I am a full grown adult in my late thirties married with a child. This is what I told her some years back when a major incident happened. My mother is queen of all drama queens.
