I can see people avoided this one!

Also, just my opinion but weaning a child from the pacifier at 7 months old is a little premature. The reasoning I have behind it is if you have "sleep trained" her to use it and to help her self soothe, she isn't going to understand why all of the sudden you are taking it from her. When she is a little older, she can slowly be weaned from it by taking it away for only sleep and then weaning from there. She is still an infant and infants definitely like soothing objects or mama. Obviously, you are the mama and can do what you feel is right. You are going to have to be consistent and follow through in order for her weaning to be successful.

good luck

I was wondering if I said or offended anyone when I noticed no one replied to this topic! LOL Thanks. I have been thinking about it and I dont think she is ready to get off the paci just yet. But I would like to take her off it when she's around one of so. Thanks for responding and making feel a little better about posting this!!

I weaned my son from his at 9m and it worked great, I was just noticing during the day, if he didnt see a paci or find one on the floor, he did just fine w/o it, kind of like he forgot it existed. But he did take it when he was going to sleep, so we just started to take it away little by little, and at night, when he would go to bed, we'd just let him cry for 5-10min max, before coming in to sooth him ourselves-no paci. and now he goes to bed all by himself and doesnt need any help, and sleeps through the night...i never thought i'd say that either! lol. Hes going to be 1 in feb too.
