Ok, So I exclusively pump...my son was born with a cleft palate and he has never been able to latch on. My milk supply is almost zero and i have started supplimenting formula. I no longer pump every day - this has been for about 3 days now. My boobs got engorged the other day and when i pumped I only got 2 oz out and was ok. I still try to pump every now and then because I was told you cant stop cold turkey but when i sit and pump for 30 minutes I usually dont get anything out...sometimes I get maybe 1oz on one side and nothing on the other....

my question is, do i still need to pump and slowly and gradually stop pumping or can i stop it all together??

I would just pump only when you are feeling engorged, try to remove only a little bit to make it comfortable again. The more you pump the more your body will continue to produce.
