I have no idea where to even start, but I am planning to wean Mia in 1 month and 1 week.
How have you weaned and what worked for you?

My dd self-weaned so she just gradually cut out feedings & got more interested in other things and less interested in nursing.

A good way to start weaning is to drop one feeding at a time (going at least a week in between dropping feedings). Usually the first & last feeding of the day are the last ones to be dropped.

Try replacing one feeding with lots of cuddles & affection and lots of distraction. Good luck!

i think the first step is to make sure your little one will take other forms of milk, be it cows milk or formula. once you have got that right then replace 1 breastfeed with the other milk. then drop another feed every couple of days. usually the last feed to go is the last feed before bed.
remember lots of cuddles are needed at this time.
