Neither. I was really blessed with a very supportive family who supported child-led weaning. I am very thankful for that.

I have to say I feel pressure to wean my baby off bf bc my dh is not always suppotive of extended bf. He thinks I should have stopped bf her at 6 months but she is still bfing at almost 9 months. I will continue until she is one but I do not see anything wrong wt bf past one either. I feel sad when I think about having to wean her off in a few months. My dh has a hard time wh her taking a sippy and solid foods but she has made progress! I just hope she is ready to wean at one bc then I will be ready too.

that just make it more stressful for you. if you are not ready maybe research some info on extended BF and its benefits and show your DH. maybe you can change his mind. if you want i can look for it for you. just let me know.

Oh, thank you so much that would be wonderful! I'm sorry it took me so long to reply but after I placed the reply I had to get some sleep bc I work overnight. I would really appreciate it bc I am so interested to know what benefits extended bf has to offer. I commend women for that much dedication but so many sick people judge and say nasty things about women bfing past a year old bc they do not understand the reason for extended bf.

i have had the same problem with a lot of women. it hurts cos i think its your choice when to wean. i live in a culture where if you BF past 6 weeks people are shocked. so you can imagine the responses i get. i will look for some info for you and post it here.
