So I started the weaning process but then just stopped. I eliminated the pumping at work and that is it. I have to go on a biz trip and will be away from Mia for 5 days so I have decided that I need to wean her by then. I don't want my DH having to deal with a baby who is suddenly not able to breastfeed. I am ready too, I think. So here is our schedule now. She wakes up around 4am and I breast feed her off and on till about 5 or 6. Then she gets bottles while I am at work. I BF her when I get home and then at her bed time. On the weekends I have just been BFing her full time because she will not take a bottle from me. So I need help with how to deal with her when she wants to BF. What do I do with her at 4am now?

hi and welcome!!!!
sorry you have to make this descision. you have already done so well by not p0umping at work anymore. so that should make this easier.
i would drop the day time feed, the one when you get home first.
the only big concern i see is getting her to take a bottle from you.
will she maybe take her milk in a sippy cup?
could you maybe get your DH to give her a bottle till she is weaned?
once you can get her to take a bottle while you are home it will be a lot easier.
then you can drop the morning feed and lastly the night time feed.

how old is she now?
depending on how old she is, there are a few ways to go about weaning.

She just turned 1 year on September 19th. She likes soy milk!

Usually they will take bottles from others a LOT easier than they will take them from us.

Does she have any trouble taking bottles when you're not there?
If not, I wouldn't worry too much about her adjustment. If you're not there she will probably not expect to nurse and be okay with a bottle or sippy cup.

Make sure to wear a tight bra to help with engorgement.

Good luck!

She has no issues taking bottles when I am away. If I took the pump with me would she still nurse after 5 days without?

There is definitely a possibility. Some little ones won't but there are others who will pick back up like they were never without.

its worth a shot. if you do take the pump with you and she refuses the breast when you get back then she will be weaned. if she takes the breast again then you can carry on. either way its a win situation.
maybe just make sure DH can get her to sleep at bed time without you there to nurse.
