Rusk is a common first food! I'm not sure how reliable it is, but my HV told me to get Kirsty off rusk ASAP as apparently one rusk has the same sugar content as a jam donut?!
Not that I disbelieve her, but I don't think they would be for sale if this was the case? I don't know what to think. I use them now broken in half as a finger food, or half made up with her milk and adding fruit as a pudding.
I have a box in the cupboard but they have been unopened for quite a while now! Normally I would take a half if I was going swimming or out somewhere and Kirsty may have it as a snack. I seem to have stopped using them as much.
I just don't see the point in them as they are just sugary ... obviously I don't judge those who give there babies rusks as I know babies do like them .. I would just rather not buy them then she don't know what shes missing She loves the organix carrot sticks tho ... I am quite partial to those as well
